Howdy and Namaskar! My name is Jeewan Pandey and I am the president of Nepalese Students Association (NSA). I am a PhD student with Plant Breeding major at Department of Horticultural Sciences. Beside working in lab and teaching undergraduates, I am involved with student leadership activities. Currently, I am the Vice-President of Horticultural Graduate Council. You’ll often see me taking pictures during events. I also really enjoy planning and making initiatives happen. I hope to bring new events from NSA that everyone will enjoy. Looking forward to work and collaborate with many people/organizations this year! Let’s put our efforts together to make our community much better!


Howdy and Namaste!! My name is Bishwa Sapkota and I am a PhD student at Soil and Crop Sciences majoring in Agronomy. I am the newly elected Vice-President of Nepal Student Association (NSA). My major duties as a Vice-President include presiding over bi-weekly/monthly club meetings in the absence of the president, facilitating an effective communication between the officers, and assisting president and other officers in completing their duties. Regarding my hobbies and interests, I am highly fond of jamming with my band crew and playing soccer and basketball.
Overwhelmed with the excitement and enthusiasm, I am already looking into driving the association towards success and prosperity. Let us unite, love, care, and groom this association to make it even better!!

I am Nirvay Sah, secretary of the Nepalese Students Association for the 2019/20 term. I am a PhD Student in Physiology of Reproduction at the department of Animal Science. I like to take some time off my research activities and getting involved in social activities and personal development programs.
My hobbies include outdoor games, movies, food and travel. I also like to cook and try new recipes. I enjoy myself dancing randomly on desi music.


Howdy and Namaste! I am Prashant Subedi. I am the new Treasurer for 2019-2020 session joining from Spring semester. I am planning to graduate as Mechatronics Engineer in May 2021. 

My other hobbies include learning bass, and lead guitar, playing cricket, listening to music, and playing FIFA. I am grateful to get this opportunity to serve the NSA committee as a Treasurer. I will try my best to give my all to the NSA team.

Howdy I am Alence Poudel, a graduate student of Civil Engineering turned-marketer passionate about how proper presentation, timely information and targeted messaging create a unity among us Nepalese in this foreign land.
As an IT officer, I am responsible for implementing inbound technological strategies that help our members increase awareness about NSA, keep constant updates, help new aggies in town, and run every event impeccably. When I am not working, you’ll find me on the pool, experimenting in the kitchen, and playing guitar.

My name is Samisha Panthi. I’m a Sophomore Kinesiology major from College Station, Texas but more importantly I’m the loudest and the proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2021. A-A-A-A-A! I want to go to PT school and pursue Physical Therapy. In my free time I like to watch Netflix, if you watch FRIENDS, we’re already bffs;). I’m elected as the Event Coordinator for NSA and I’m looking forward to work on organizing the events and making it successful.

Howdy I am Avinav Sanjel biomedical science major class of ‘22. My hobbies include cooking, traveling, and playing sports. My role as a public outreach/ social media officer is to promote our organization while showcasing the beauty and deep roots of my culture. As the underrepresented minority group here at Texas A&M we actively seek to grow our Nepalese family and to demonstrate our nation’s beauty.

Howdy and namaste, I am Ayush upreti, a biomedical science major undergrad student at Texas A&M University. I am immensely honored to be granted this opportunity as a public Affairs through Marketing officer for this term. As a marketing officer, my main goals would be to seek out different organizations and sponsors for mutual benefit. This allows our organization, Nepalese Student Association(NSA) to grow and be recognized at Texas A&M University.

Other than being busy with my studies and extracurricular activities, I really enjoy playing soccer, going to gym with my buddies and also watching soccer and getting super hyped when my team scores.
