| Aggie Traditions: HOWDY |

Howdy - Nepalese Student Association

At Texas A&M, traditions are part of the history. They are the key aspect of the culture of Texas A&M. These traditions encourages students to cultivate the Aggie Spirit. Among such traditions, we have “Howdy.” Even though in Texas, “Howdy” is often used to greet each others, at A&M, it has a special place. It is our official greeting. “Howdy” is the preferred method for a speaker to get a large group’s attention, as the members of the group are expected to return the “Howdy” back to the speaker. So if you are a new Aggie visiting the campus, try using “Howdy” to any stranger,  you are for sure to hear “Howdy” back!
